Andy MacNae MP said the report has received significant support for its approach and ambitious message.

However, everyone agreed the challenge now is to raise the profile of the issues with the government and push for new legislation.

The group is working hard to arrange a meeting with Emma Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and other Ministers.

MP’s recommitted to trying to secure an opportunity for a debate on access to nature as well as submitting oral and written questions.

The APPG discussed topics for future meetings and also the potential to hold joint meetings in future with APPGs for National Parks and Outdoor Education.

Meanwhile, Ben Seal and Phil Brickell MP, met with Water Minister Emma Hardy to discuss the APPG report.
